From January to March enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra inhabit the plains of the southern Serengeti and more than 400,000 wildebeest calves are born before they begin their migration north. These herds and their calves attract predators and you’ll see lion, cheetahs and hyenas at work. It’s the beautiful and brutal circle of life seen in one place.

The animals are focused on moving north, so won’t stay in the area long. In June and July there will be a constant progression of wildebeest crossing the river – often with a snapping crocodile at their heels.
The wildebeest herds will be a few weeks behind them, soon flooding the grasslands with millions of hooves. Because of its remoteness and inaccessibility, the northern Serengeti remains quiet and void of tourists. You could be the only people witnessing this incredible spectacle.

Arriving from late July through to September. It’s the greatest animal migration on the planet. The most dramatic moment comes when the animals must cross the Mara River and run the gauntlet of eager crocodiles waiting for their own feast.
