Feel the earth rumble beneath your feet as millions of animals make their way across the plains of the Serengeti during the great wildebeest migration. This African safari experience is once in a lifetime. After witnessing the wildlife, float away in the tropical waters surrounding the Zanzibar archipelago containing more than 50 islands off the coast of Tanzania. Safari to sea, it’s a winning travel combination.
All I wanted to do was get back to Africa. We had not left it, yet, but when I would wake in the night I would lie, listening, homesick for it already.
Ernest Hemingway

There are too many highlights to estimate the amount of time you will need for a journey through Tanzania! It is dependent on if you travel by plane or car and what you want to see. As a guide, a flying or driving safari experience can range between 1-4 weeks. You will need a week to climb Mt Kilimanjaro. Tanzania has a virtually unblemished safety record, is well developed and is an easy country to travel through with a solid tourist infrastructure. Road are good both North and South, but if you want to get to the more remote resorts fly safaris are best. Find great seafood on the coast where you can expect local spices to influence flavours. A safari camp is often tented rather than permanent structure lodges to minimise their footprint on this sensitive ecosystem.
