Zeitz Museum of Contemporary Art Africa (Zeitz MOCAA) is a public not-for-profit cultural institution on a mission to collect, preserve, research and exhibit cutting edge contemporary African art. By supporting educational and enrichment programs the museum encourages intercultural understanding and access for all. Be one of the first to visit Africa’s first major museum dedicated to contemporary art when it opens September 2017.
Cape Town International Jazz Festival
Join almost 40,000 music lovers and descend on Cape Town as renowned local and international jazz musicians perform over two huge nights. The Cape Town International Jazz Festival is affectionately known as Africa’s Greatest Gathering and, alongside the music, works to promote social unity. The music festival also highlights the region’s incredible food and wine, making for a weekend of sensory indulgence. It’s entertainment for the heart and soul. The music festival is on from 31 March to 1 April 2017.
Cape Town Festival
The Cape Town Festival is the original South African festival promoting tolerance and understanding between diverse communities. Established in 1999, the Cape Town Festival has a track record of empowering communities, discovering talent and creating a platform for community artists in a multitude of artistic disciplines, including music, performing arts, dance and visual arts. March 2017 dates to be confirmed.
