When to travel
With diverse geography, great culture and history and a varied climate, Kenya really is a year-round destination. Go between mid-August and late October to see the Great Migration on the Masai Mara. The Middle Eastern carriers and South African Airways fly into Nairobi international airport. Kenyan safari access is primarily serviced by charter flights. From Nairobi travel to your safari destination by private car or plane.

Visa: Australian citizens require an entry visa for Kenya. You can obtain a visa at the port of entry upon arrival for US$50 single entry or US$100 for multi entry. Valid for three months. Also available is the East Africa tourist visa for US$100, valid for 90 days, that will give you entry to Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda.
Language: Swahili and English are the official languages and you will get by easily with English widely spoken.
