When to travel

Zambia’s dry season runs from May to October and you’ll have great weather and excellent game viewing. If you’re interested in water activities, travel at the end of the dry season, when the Zambezi will be low enough for activities like white water rafting and you can swim in the Devil’s Pool. With the wet season, December to March, comes your only chance to take a boat safari along the Luangwa River as the flood waters are at their highest – an experience not to be missed.
