The Motse was designed with individuals, couples and families in mind and offers something for everyone. There are 3 family legae (suites) for up to four guests, with two bedrooms linked by a living room. Safaris are tailored according to your family to ensure there is a happy balance between animal spotting and down time, whilst also being available to focus on everyone’s special interests.

Additional activities available to those of all ages include bush walks, picnics, horse riding, pizza making and cookie baking. The Junior Ranger programme is specifically designed for the little ones, with a focus on learning about animals and how to observe them.

The EleFun Centre was designed by childcare experts and runs age-appropriate programmes designed to nurture curiosity about nature in kids- there’s even a dedicated kids pool on the property.

Marataba Safari Lodge is nestled within a privately managed section of the Marakele National Park in South Africa and is malaria-free. The park protects a wide range of animals (including the Big Five) and is part of the greater UNESCO Waterberg Biosphere Reserve.

Your kids will love the Family Luxury Tents, giving them the independence of having their own bedroom and bathroom. Londolozi takes a “children first” approach to game drives, customising the days with experienced rangers orientated towards children. This can look different for every family, but includes breaks throughout the day to stretch, explore by foot, or even track footprints. Between drives and after meals, the activities for kids are varied. A specialty children’s program will also be created for your child at the Londolozi Cub’s Den.

Little Vumbura is an intimate six-room tented camp set on an island in the tranquil Okavango Delta. The camp seamlessly blends into its surroundings, making this a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for wildlife viewing.

Little Vumbura encourages you to book exclusive use of all six tents with your family for maximum enjoyment. Here, you will experience something for every age and for every interest with a range of different activities to enjoy throughout your day. You’ll have to keep your eyes peeled for the resident elephant who can often be spotted around the island, along with buffalo and zebra.

Camp Kalahari is located within a one-million-acre private nature reserve and is only one of three camps situated within this area with just twelve tents, making for a getaway that feels like you’re on another planet. Here, children are more than welcome, with a dedicated family suite and a fence surrounding the property for your peace of mind.

Children will thrive at Sasaab Camp. They can participate in the activities available to adults including game drives, bushwalking and quad biking, plus there are many additional options for younger guests. They can spend time with Samburu Warriors, where they will learn crafts, history and adventure on a walk, along with participating in a special version of sundowners (with marshmallows), while you enjoy a quiet drink in the evening.

Perched with sweeping views atop the Great Rift Valley, Angama Mara welcomes children with open arms, and tailors experiences based on needs and preferences. Here you can expect contemporary design, excellent service and panoramic views, plus it has nostalgic value as it was the set for the movie Out of Africa! Angama Mara has two sets of interconnected tented suites which can sleep two adults and up to four children. The interconnected passageway is fully enclosed meaning you can move safely between tents at any time.

Some of the exciting activities available for the little ones include walking with a warrior learning about the Maasai culture, being a baker for the day and joining the Angama Mara kitchen, joining the Shamba (vegetable garden) team or even the Maasai Mamas in the beading studio. Alongside activities for the kids, Angama Mara offers a range of other fantastic services including game drives, hot air ballooning, photography, wellness and more!

This authentic tented camp is the perfect blend of staying in the wilderness, taking in the sights and sounds, and the luxuries and comforts of home you expect. Singita Explore was initially designed for private use, and the custom designed tents will be configured based on your group, perfect for families.

Activities at the camp will be tailored for your family, to ensure that everyone’s interests are met. This may include game drives, bushwalks, or even the ‘mini-rangers course’, a custom program for young explorers, but days can vary between different families.

Nestled on the outer slopes of Ngorongoro Crater, Gibb’s Farm was founded in the 1920s, originally as a coffee plantation. Now, the legacy continues at Gibb’s Farm, through solar energy, community upliftment and organic farming, ensuring they leave a positive footprint on the land. The farm boasts 30 acres of coffee, 10 acres of vegetables and fruit, 5 acres of flowers and herbs, plus a dairy and pig farm. Cottages have been recently refurbished, and each has a unique theme focusing on an element of East Africa.

There are two family houses at Gibb’s Farm, and children are very welcome. The Farm offers a range of activities to enjoy as a family, including milking cows, collecting eggs, painting with the resident artist and a fantastic pool area. As you can imagine, dining here is a farm-to-table experience like no other, with all produce locally sourced and prepared by the chef – they will even arrange special meals for children that suit their taste buds, while giving them lots of energy to keep exploring.
